The Problem

There is trouble in the Fire Nation! A group of political activists, calling themselves the Pure Ones, have launched an attack on unions between Benders, Non-Benders and Nations. They maintain that there should no mix of blood, and any children of such unions are dirty. They believe Fire Benders are superior genetically, feeling that the tradition of Fire Bending is a noble art given to only certain people. They have petitioned the Fire Lord to write a decree forbidding marriage and other child-producing unions that are not pure, which would also require separate living arrangements and a city zoning overhaul.
